Question:
How does New Toyo Pulppy protect the environment?
Answer:
New Toyo Pulppy Vietnam has invested in environmentally friendly technology with 3R concept (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle).
As
well as using some 18,000 metric tonnes of waste paper per year for our
recycled production, we have also installed a waste water treatment
system, capable of treating 8,000m3 of production waste water per day,
prior to its release into the sewage system.
The boiler produces
the most significant quantity of waste air. This is treated in an
absorption tower, ensuring reductions in dust and acidic gas,
satisfying environmental requirements. Solid wastes are disposed of
through contracted disposal companies which hold environmental licences
for treatment.
Half of company products are made by recycled
paper. Recycling paper helps make sure we get the most out of every
tree we use. And it helps keep paper from clogging up our landfills.
We
are preparing for ISO 1400 certification, the environmental management
system developed by the International Organization for Standardization.
The system is expected to reduce the impact of production activities to
the environment, showing the company’s sense of responsibility toward
the community and the environment.
